What Is This ‘Season’ the Bible Refers To? Prophesy pt. 5

Revelation 4:1 Introduces a section of Scripture that details “things which must be hereafter.” What follows are prophecies of the “end times.”  I believe that we have not yet reached the tribulation, which will be SIGNIFICANT, nor the revelation of the Antichrist. Although, we certainly are in the “season” and it will get so much worse. What we do see is a lot of prophesy fulfilled and preparation for more prophesy, a stage-setting for the accurately- predicted catastrophic events.

What does “the season” entail?

Jesus said that the last days would be preceded by several things: many false Christs would come, deceiving many; we would “hear of wars and rumors of wars”; and there would be an increase in “famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in diverse places. All these are the beginning of sorrows” (Matthew 24:5-8). Today’s news is full of false religions, warfare, and natural disasters. There will be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring. (Luke 21:25)

We know that events of the tribulation period will include all that Jesus predicted (Revelation 6:1-8); and current events seem to be a build-up for greater trouble ahead. Current events are fulfilling prophesies at an ever-increasing rate seemingly with a momentum of their own. We are to be watching for these signs because Jesus told us that the day of the Lord—His return for His own—would come like a thief in the night (2 Peter 3:10), unexpected and unannounced. “Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man” (Luke 21:36). God has given us full disclosure as to what the signs of the season are. Click here for further explanation on the signs of the season, no one knows the day or hour.

All eyes on Israel and on the Middle East.

There are four end time prophecies concerning Israel that were fulfilled even before the 20th Century began. They are:

  1. The dispersion of the Jews worldwide — Deuteronomy 28:64.
  2. The worldwide persecution of the Jews — Deuteronomy 28:65-67.
  3. The desolation of the Jewish homeland — Deuteronomy 29:22-28.
  4. The preservation of the Jewish people — Jeremiah 30:7 and Jeremiah 31:36-37

Christian ministers have been saying for years that Israel will become wealthy someday when she discovers oil. And the reason they made such claims, is because the Bible stated that Israel had wealth below her. Of course, non-believers made hay with that belief. That’s because no such discovery was ever found.

Yet in Genesis 49:1 & 25 “And Jacob called unto his sons, and said, “Gather yourselves together, that I may tell you what shall befall you in the last days. 25 By the God of your father Who will help you, and the Almighty Who will bless you with blessings of heaven above, blessings of the deep that lies beneath, blessings of the breasts and of the womb.”

Deuteronomy 33:19 “They shall call the peoples to the mountain; there they shall offer sacrifices of righteousness; for they shall partake of the abundance of the seas, and of treasures hidden in the sand.”

The prophecies of the Bible tell us that near the end of time a great army from the north of Israel would invade her. It would be to rob her of her wealth. (Ezekiel 38) Israel’s wealth appears to be changing.  We find prophesy being fulfilled once again. Also note that God has promised to protect Israel. When her surrounding nations come against her, God will supernaturally protect her that they finally know God the Messiah. (Ezekiel chapters 38, 39)

According to the Washington Post, Israel, once energy-dependent, is a new gas producer. See their article May 08, 2013

In 1948, Israel was recognized as a sovereign state, and this, too, has ramifications for the student of Scripture. God promised Abram that his posterity would have Canaan as “an everlasting possession” (Genesis 17:8), and Ezekiel prophesied a physical and spiritual resuscitation of Israel (Ezekiel 37). Having Israel as a nation in its own land is important in light of end-time prophecy, because of Israel’s prominence in eschatology (Daniel 10:14; 11:41; Revelation 11:8).

Israel will be invaded by a coalition of Islamic nations, (Ezekiel 38) and today’s headlines indicate that this is at the doorstep.

What about America and beyond:

Paul warned that the last days would bring a marked increase in false teaching. “In later times, some will abandon the faith, and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons” (1 Timothy 4:1). The last days are described as “perilous times” because of the increasingly evil character of man and because of people who actively “oppose the truth” (2 Timothy 3:1-9; also see 2 Thessalonians 2:3). The list of things people will be in the last days—lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power—(2 Timothy 3:1-2) seems to fit our modern age exactly.

Mr. Obama is weakening the United States and is facilitating Islamist takeover.  We are the modern Babylon, we will indeed fall. “The bigger they are, the harder they fall.” A five-building mosque is being built in Landham Maryland. There is a new Islamist center only twelve miles from our U.S. capitol. Hmmm…

I love America, and the freedoms, the privacy, the free-speech that we once had. Bit by bit they are being sheared away and we have slept while our freedoms and rights are being fleeced.

Can there be any doubt that the prophecies concerning apostasy are being fulfilled?

Our 21st-century world has embraced moral relativism, a philosophy which is tainting even the church. For example, many denominations are having a hard time defining marriage as being between one man and one woman, and many religious leaders today are openly supporting homosexuality. The Bible has become subordinate to the modern church’s quest for a more appealing “truth.” These are indeed “perilous times” spiritually.

Many Christians are divorcing themselves from God’s pure doctrine, Chrislam has invaded our mega churches, followers are blinded, deceived by the subtle changes and elimination of basic foundational truths. The marriage of Islam with Christianity is an absolute abomination!

The formation of the European Union—and the fact that we have a reunified Germany—is very interesting in light of biblical prophecy. The “ten toes” of Daniel 2:42 and the ten-horned beasts of Daniel 7:20 and Revelation 13:1 are references to a “revived” Roman Empire which will hold power before Christ returns.  More pieces falling into place, folks.

Understanding more about Biblical prophesy, one needs to ask themselves where they stand in relationship with God. God is crystal clear on this matter; you are either for Him or against Him, there is no middle ground. There is no achievement or good works, enough riches, or parental spiritual inheritance to get us in right relationship with Him. He has provided a way, so if you are on a path of good works or penance, whatever… you won’t find Him there.

He gave a part of Himself, His life, as a Gift to each and every human being, as a way to right standing with Him.  You cannot earn it, otherwise it would not be a “gift”. That Gift is God the Son, Jesus Christ of Nazareth the Messiah. It is only through belief in Him, accepting His gift to you personally, that you can ever be in right standing with Him and under His umbrella of protection.  A vital protection that you are going to desperately need. Take your life-changing step today, right now. Something THIS IMPORTANT should not be postponed.

Lord God, I am a sinner with a sin-debt to be paid. I have done my best and have worked to be positive, good and kind but I fail. I realize that I need a savior to forgive me of my sins, to pay my sin-debt that I am unable to pay.  I believe that Jesus Christ of Nazareth, God the Son of the holy Trinity shed His majestic Blood to pay my sin-debt. That He died and rose again, proving His divinity.  I am willing to turn from my sins. I invite Jesus Christ of Nazareth into my heart and life as my personal Savior and Lord. Thank You, amen.
