CHRISTIANS WAKE UP!
The enemy “COMPLACENCY” is in our camp and in our stupor we have allowed it.
If we heard an unfamiliar noise in our home during the middle of the night, would that sound awaken us? Would we be immediately alert, protective, on-guard? I’m fairly certain we would at minimum, rise up from our rest and investigate. Some would arm their selves.
Matthew 24:43 “But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into.”
Even more frightening then a stranger with ill-intent invading our sanctuaries, our place of comfort and security called home, is the invasion of the enemy of our eternal souls. We have allowed ourselves to be fooled into down-playing the malevolency of this darkest of adversarial threats because it’s so commonplace. It’s horrifying to consider the truth of the matter that we have grown habituated to its all-pervasive presence. And this enemy is quite intent upon his destructive purposes and has become very good at it. He knows all the buttons to push.
He is in our homes. In the work place. Our schools. In our entertainment. In our social media. Our stores. The food industry. Medical field. The news media. Sports. Our government. Churches. Our time management. One can’t even Google benign photographs without his invasion.
HE HAS INVADED AND relentlessly THREATENS OUR FAMILIES AND OUR OTHER LOVED-ONES LIVES! The air-raid siren is blasting its warning two feet from us but we fail to hear it.
Somewhere along the line we have forgotten that we already have the victory and have dropped our swords.
Today, right now, we are beyond Matthew 24:4-8; all precursors to Christ’s return are fulfilled, consequences comfortable and uncontested.
Matthew Chapter 24
· False teachings, leading many astray. False signs of His coming. V 4, 5
· Social & political upheaval, yet these do not signal His arrival. V6
· Natural calamities, famines, pestilences, earthquakes. V7
· The above are forerunners, labor pains. V8
It’s our wake-up call yet we slumber, snug and warm, all wrapped up in our research, politics, doctrine, and theorizing. This is not a wake-up call to merely alert us to His return and to awaken our Christian walk, but a mandate to evangelize!
We need to ask the critical question, “What’s at stake?” Are we a product of Matthew 24: 12 more interested in securing our place with Him in heaven then in including every known & unknown person’s eternal salvation? If we are fully convinced that these are the “Last Days” our steps should be swift in proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ. Matthew 24:14
I fear that the habit of intercession has degraded and I fully acknowledge that with every finger I point, at least three more are pointing back at me. We need to be blanketing every soul that we interact with, directly or indirectly every single day, in His grace and mercy with intercession for His intervention and salvation. Ask ourselves; once we have left this planet, what legacy are we leaving behind? There is going to literally be hell on earth, have we done all that we can to include souls in our departure? Do we care anymore or has indifference and selfish ambition invaded our individual camps?
I believe we are beyond the final wake-up call to action, to arms, NOT self-preservation:
Christians are being tortured and killed: Matthew 24:9
Disloyalty and unnatural hatred abounds: Matthew 24:10
Unprecedented events at the Vatican, false prophets, religious deception: Matthew 24:11
Sin, lawlessness, and love of others grow cold: Matthew 24:12
We’re told to wait calmly (not idle), to hold our ground, with brave endurance: Matthew 24:13
In the midst of all of this, we are to preach to all nations: Matthew 24:14
And now, we wait for the blessed fulfillment of His other prophesies, or do we obey His mandate to spread the Good News?
Have your physical and spiritual preparations included the poor, meek, needing, the abandoned? Those that use and abuse you and others? Many hurting, damned souls line our streets, occupy our buildings, and invade our comfort zones. Lord, give us a burning desire for souls!
Imagine this obtainable scenario: To meet Him face to Face with confidence and gratitude. Then our hearts soar when we hear His words of loving pride, “Well done, good and faithful servant.” Matthew 25:23
It’s Just Not That Hard
A) All people are sinners in need of salvation
B) Be willing to turn from your sins. Believe in Jesus Christ the Messiah, the only Son of God as your Savior
C) Confess your sin and your salvation through Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God and His holy sacrificial Blood shed for your salvation.
Now claim your cleansing from past sins and your now-victory through His holy Spirit. Continue to be obedient to Him, forsaking all other temptations. Tell others about Him and His saving grace from the fires of eternal hell.
Did you know that His mercy endures forever? It’s true, check it out and check out the meaning of the word “mercy” for added emphasis: Psalm 106:1
Did you also know that His grace is sufficient to cover ANY and all sin? It’s true, check it out: 2 Corinthians 12:9 and support it by double-checking the meaning of the word “grace” to refresh your understanding. Be blessed, my friends!!
